I am a researcher who is generally interested in the evolution and adaptation of plants. Although, I have recently been getting involved in other projects outside of the plant kingdom, including abalone and sharks. My work has been trending towards the more computational side of things because my datasets are getting bigger and bigger. I’m also trying to connect the dots between very different dataset types. Because I think that genomics data is better with stuff I’m not familiar with (e.g. soil ecology, metabolomics, pathogens, modelling), my work is highly collaborative and I promote and enjoy these types of projects because I feel that I learn from other people’s perspectives and knowledge.
